How waking up before dawn to worship the Lord brought me divine favour

“Holy Spirit, I can’t continue in this project”. With tears, I pleaded with the Lord to help me get out of this project -anyhow!

Most my project members approached me and were requesting release from the project and  none in the team wanted to continue. The main reason was an abusive senior member who made the project environment unprofessional. He had only negative words to say about the team and gradually the team morale started to wane away and the project deliverables were getting negatively impacted..

This toxic project environment ruined my inner peace and joy. Although I was directly responsible for the team, I felt helpless Everyday, a new conflict!

The solution: Then one day, I woke up around 2am. Despite trying hard, I couldn’t go back to sleep. So I opened the Bible and suddenly started praising and worshiping the Lord. I continued worshiping for sometime. About 4 am, I felt great joy overtake me. It was what I had been missing all along.

That day, when I went to the office, I had the joy of the Holy Spirit in me. I handled all escalations with great optimism, positivity and forgiveness. My team members quickly latched on to that joy. That afternoon, the team went out for drinks and we decided to stand for each other and isolate the negative guy. That was a beginning of a massive turn around in the project.

I understood the blessings of waking up before dawn to worship the Lord  and command the day to favour me. It has become a habit ever since. If you are in a situation where all joy seems lost, then wake up before dawn to worship the Lord and get soaked in the joy of the Holy Ghost!

In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart].

Psalm 5:3, Amplified Bible
