My tears are words that my heart cannot express
You have taken account of my wanderings. Put my tears in thy wine skin. Are they not recorded in thy book?
Psalm 56:8
Yes, our tears are very precious to our Saviour, Jesus. The world may see it as a sign of weakness but Bible says “when we are weak then we are strong”.
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” -2 Cor 12:10
Context Setting: For us Christians, disciples of Jesus, Holy Spirit is our strength. He is our refuge and fortress, an ever present help in times of trouble. Through the help of Holy Spirit, Word of God encourages us to fast and pray. It encourages us to indulge in charity. It places great emphasis on loving the downcast, the poor, the needy, widows and orphans. But all these acts of righteousness do not qualify us to be spared of afflictions. Testing of faith will come. Temptations to sin will be thrown at us by satan.
Main Points: So, when Satan unleashes his fury against us, we remind Lord Jesus of all our acts of righteousness. And this is not wrong. But the most excellent way is the way that the Lord Himself taught us. He said His grace is sufficient for us to face any onslaught of the enemy. We pray unto the Lord in faith believing that He will deliver us. Lord Jesus, have mercy on sinner like me! Luke 18: 9-14 But sometimes, we have no words. Our grief is immense and we have no words to put it to the Lord. Like that woman who broke the alabaster jar and poured precious oil on the Lord. She had no words. Or like the woman who cane and started to weep at the feet of Lord Jesus. She had no words. But the Lord knows our heart. He went beyond the barricade of human understanding and delivered her in the spiritual realm from her sin. And she was set free.
And when we approach the throne of grace with this lowly position and take our pain and shame to the Lord, and the Holy Spirit, our helper cries through us, in Heaven books are opened and a record is made. In Heaven, all the tears we shed are preserved in a bottle. Holy Spirit is the eternal Spirit. He knows Heaven. And He knows how weak we are. So, He cries and prays through us for mercy to Jehovah Elohim in Jesus holy name.
Next time, when tears roll down our cheeks, let us remember the activity happening in Heaven. Remember that there are angels around you who are busy collecting those tears in a bottle and they are being listed in a book.
He prayed with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and His prayer was heard because He trusted God. Even though Jesus was the son of God, He learned obedience by what He suffered.
Hebrews 5: 7-8
