Oh, Hey September! 🍁 🍂 🍃
“RivkaGabriel, check out our new Autumn collection”. A recent mailer! I reckon the time has come to declutter and make room for a new season. “Welcome Autumn!” And as I write, I rejoice because of the joy and happiness that is ringing in my spiritual ears. So, here is the Word for the month of September-
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:18-19).
The Hebrew word here for “new thing” is “chadash”. Strong's Hebrew: 2319. חָדָשׁ (chadash). It literally means to be new, to rebuild- renew, repair. It is the same word used in Psalm 51:10 where David asks the Lord to “renew” the right spirit within him.
This word is specially for those situations where the wait for the answer has been long, difficult and shame filled. Cheer up! the new month of September brings “chadash”. It’s that month of the new season in life when the tables will turn around and the favour and mercy of Most High will begin to shine through. It’s a start of a big victory, conquest of new lands- filling the air with songs of joy and happiness and most importantly adding a new dimension of power to prayers.
And then, I was encouraged in my spirit when I noticed that September is the month when Rosh Hashanah is celebrated. Rosh Hashanah, literally “Head of the Year” in Hebrew, is the beginning of the Jewish new year. It is the first of the High Holidays or “Days of Awe,” ending 10 days later with Yom Kippur.
So, sing new love songs to the Lord. Pray and seek the Lord more so that the blessings are hundredfold and the payback for years that are stolen and lost is not just a fair recompense but above and beyond expectation.
Be excited, a new beginning is happening. The biggest testimony of your life is coming to past. And when Lord Jesus is involved, there is no sorrow but only blessings.
“But He knows the way that I take [and He pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I will come forth as [refined] gold [pure and luminous]. Job 23:10
