For long overdue prayers- faith and right attitude to receive the answer

Have you been praying to the Lord for something and it seems like the Lord is ignoring that one thing and answering all other prayer requests? Perhaps on various occasions, you have taken it to the Lord in fasting and you have stood on the promises of God but still the answer has not as yet manifested. And now you are left saying to yourself – “should I even be praying about it anymore?”

I took this in prayer to the Holy Spirit and He answered, “your labour in the Lord is never in vain”.
You see, there is a “reward” promised in the Bible for praying. Refer Matthew 6:6 – But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Seek the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction on how to pray for your request. In my own experience, there are prayers for which I have received answers really fast and with no sweat. Like one time, I wanted to rent out my apartment which is located in a not so popular area. It went on rent rather smoothly and hassle free. But, the neighbouring owners struggled a lot to do so. And when I wanted to switch jobs for career growth, the right one came along quickly. But, I also have a prayer request for which I have sown so much in the spirit and the answer has not yet manifested. Although, Holy Spirit has time and again encouraged me through divine encounters- dreams, prophecy etc. to continue to stand in faith for it.
My Conclusion: There are two main reasons:

  • God ordained time for the blessing to manifest
  • Spiritual warfare

In a way, both are interconnected. As the set time for your blessing to manifest approaches, you may experience serious spiritual warfare. That is because satan will do his best to impede and stop the blessing from manifesting. But, Holy Spirit will guide you and motivate you to pray and fast. The Kingdom of Lord Jesus works in an orderly manner. And Holy Spirit will prepare you for the warfare. Remember, warfare is a wrestling match. You may also get a blow or two but remain focussed and remain in the game. Lord Jesus has already clinched the victory for us on the cross. Hallelujah!

So, be encouraged and don’t give up, Your prayers of the past many years are all adding up to usher you into something unimaginably powerful. Our labour in the Lord is never in vain.

For there is nothing impossible with the Holy Spirit. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
