• An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and ESCAPE to Egypt.  Matthew: 2:13

• “ESCAPE to the hill country,” Rahab told them. “Hide there for three days from the men searching for you. Then, when they have returned, you can go on your way.” Joshua 2:16

Way through the “uncrossable” obstacle: In the year 2025 and before, Holy Spirit preserved you. It helped you build reserves to move forward. In the year 2026, the Holy Spirit goes before you to make a way of escape for you. Get ready to cross Jordan and step into the promise land. At the time of the crossing, the Jordan River was at flood stage. It was the most dangerous time to cross due to the harvest season. The river was deep and turbulent. And the Israelite couldn’t have crossed but for the divine intervention. The “enemy” (Satan or negative spiritual forces) works to steal, kill, and destroy God’s beautiful destiny for your life. Meanwhile, the Holy Spirit acts as a divine counter-force. The Holy Spirit supports and shields you. The Holy Spirit will make a way miraculously. For you, the year 2026 will be a pivotal moment of faith. It symbolizes a transition from the old life in the wilderness to a new life in the promised land.

A way of escape is not avoiding afflictions of the enemy but finding a way through them. The “enemy” (Satan or spiritual forces of darkness) may set strong traps. These traps aim to prevent us from moving forward in God’s will. The Holy Spirit will shield and guide. Refer Isaiah 59:19: “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Holy Spirit provides guidance and “makes a way of escape” through obstacles. The Holy Spirit is the “Breaker” who removes spiritual and physical blockages. In the New Testament, the Holy Spirit is called the Paraclete (Advocate, Helper, or Comforter). The God we serve is greater. He is capable of making a way of escape for us despite strong and persistent opposition from the enemy. When human efforts are all blocked, the Holy Spirit intervenes and helps us. Beloved of the Lord, Holy Spirit is our promise!

Similarly, it was impossible for Joseph and Mary to run away from the sword of Herod. But a divine intervention made a way of escape for them. This was despite Herod’s order to kill all baby boys under the age of two or below in and around Bethlehem. You may not know of the treacherous plans the enemy has planned against you. But despite all his best efforts, the Holy Spirit preserved your life in 2025 and kept frustrating the plans of enemy so his hands achieved no success. But now the time has come, and a way of escape to step out into the promised land is orchestrated by heaven for you. The crossing over is inevitable. It will happen and miraculously. As you enter 2026, be grateful to the Holy Spirit in Jesus name, who preserved your life despite such severe opposition in the year 2025.

There are two things to do more in the new year 2026. These will help you stay latched onto the heavenly way of escape: 1. Read Scriptures. 2. Engage in corporate prayer. Reading scriptures goes way beyond mind and deep into the human spirit. The word of God is living and active and powerful force to counter human mind blacks and human spirit blocks. And secondly pray together in groups of two or more. By yourself you are a force, no doubt. But the powers, principalities, and spiritual wickedness you are fighting are far greater. They are established in heavenly realms and require more power. This power can be achieved through corporate prayers and fasts. So, leave the slack behind and keep watch. Your way of escape is at hand!

God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy]. He will not let you be tempted (afflicted regardless of the source) beyond your ability [to resist]. With the temptation, He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well. You will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. 1 Cor10:13

As we gear up to step into 2026 with prayers, unusual graces are being released from heaven. They will break years of spiritual stagnation. This allows us to move forward and enter our “promised land” as heaven has prepared for each one of us. Be grateful for 2025, where Holy Spirit preserved your life and move into 2026 with renewed spiritual zeal.

Enter through the gates of 2026 with faith in the Holy Spirit. Know that He who has called you is the greater one!
