Reflection

Holy Spirit, thanks for having my back!

Testimony: “Can you carry this heavy bag for me till the bus stand.” An elderly lady loudly proclaimed as she violently pushed the heavy sack of vegetables onto my two wheeler. Bus stand was about a furlong away.
What sort of forceful request is this! And after a minute or two, I realised that she had already thrusted it onto my two wheeler. I agreed to help her and carry the heavy sack for her. Since we both were headed the same way, I had no qualms about it. I reached her desired destination and waited for her at the bus stand After a while, I could see her heading towards me in the crowded market. She came around and joyfully took her heavy sack from me. Soon she spotted the bus that was heading her way. She got into it and left.
That same day, later in the afternoon, as I was driving, my car suddenly fell into a steep ditch. Both the front tyres were totally in the ditch. I could move the car neither forward nor backward. Hurriedly, I got out of the car and when I saw how bad and hopeless the situation looked, my mind went totally blank. Nervousness and fear gripped me. Seeing no one coming forward to help me totally shattered me from inside. Gathering myself, I whispered – “Holy Spirit, please send me help.” And a few seconds later, two men approached me and started accessing the situation and what best can be done at that moment. They called a group of few more men. They had decided to together lifted the front end of my car out of the ditch with their bare hands and push it backwards on to the road. Soon they organized and positioned themselves. As planned, they lifted the car and pushed it backwards. Their plan succeeded and my car came out of the ditch. Then they asked me to start the car. Still shaken by the mishap, I got into the car and powered on the ignition. It started smoothly with no issues and began rolling… I stopped and got out of the car profusely thanking those strangers/ passerbys who had helped me get my car out of the steep ditch.

Morale: What Holy Bible says is true! When you help others, it comes back into your lap- pressed down, shaken together and running over! Just as it happened to me.

Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over [with no space left for more]. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.” Luke6:38 (Amplified Bible)
🙏HolySpirit, in Jesus name.
