Reflection

Stepping into the next six months… “The best is yet to come”

As we close the past six months of this year, let us pause to reflect on the goodness of Lord Jesus in our lives. Whatever be the challenges, let us review with gratitude all that we have experienced in these months.

  1. Calvarys’ Cross: Our first reflection should be not our afflictions but the CROSS of our Lord and Saviour JESUS. Why reflect on the Cross? Because our victory for every situation comes from it. It is here where Lord Jesus bled and His holy blood continues to speak MERCY for us in every situation and circumstances. It is here that a new covenant was birthed. A new way, was opened- where Lord Jesus won it all for us!…and where righteousness (right standing with God) was attained through faith in Jesus Christ.
    • We ought to see through the lens of the Cross of Jesus and understand the perpetual victory that we have over our challenges even when the situation may be otherwise.
      • Hebrew 12:24 Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, [uniting God and man], and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance].
      • The mystery of the Cross of Lord Jesus is deep and can never be completely fathomed. We receive a new revelation every time we meditate on it. May the Holy Spirit grant us fresh revelations of the Cross!
      • What ever happened in the past months, His mercy saw us through!
  2. The Lord has preserved us:
    • “Thus far the Lord has preserved us” 1 Samuel 7:12.
    • It is a declaration of faith and gratitude, acknowledging God’s past protection and provision.
    • Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! Philippians 4:4
    • “Shall we indeed accept good from God, and not adversity?” Job2:10
    • It’s about finding joy in who Lord Jesus is, His character, and His promises, even amidst difficulties or suffering. This joy is not a fleeting emotion, but a deep-seated attitude of the heart that acknowledges God’s goodness and faithfulness.
  3. Every battle we overcame is a testimony of the Holy Spirits’ presence with us.
    • More than conquerors: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:36-37
  1. As we step into the next six months
    • May the Lord go before us to make every crooked path straight. May He crown it with His goodness and cause it to drip with abundance. May we go from faith to faith, strength to strength and glory to glory. Hallelujah!
      • What was delayed will now be accelerated
      • What was locked will be unlocked
      • What was stolen will be recovered
      • We will not survive but thrive
  2. Decree and declare the Word of God over your life:
    • A season of Acceleration, Alignment and Advancement-
    • Isaiah 43: 19 Do not remember the former things,
Or ponder the things of the past.
“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing,
      Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even put a road in the wilderness,
      Rivers in the desert.
    • Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” This verse emphasises the power of faith and God’s strength to overcome any obstacle
    • Psalm 37:23-24: “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.”
    • Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
    • Proverbs 3:6: “Know Him in all your paths, and He will keep your ways straight”
    • Hebrews 4:14, 15: “But Jesus the Son of God is our great High Priest who has gone to heaven itself to help us; therefore let us never stop trusting Him. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses since He had the same temptations we do, though He never once gave way to them and sinned”. Know this for sure that Holy Spirit understands your fights and battles!
    • Romans 8:28: And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose (ESV).

PROMISE VERSE: Psalm 121: 5:8 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your life. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in [everything that you do] From this time forth and forever.

Walk boldly, the best is yet to come!
