For surely there is a victorious future… so be patient
The horrible situation that many of us are going through is a pre-arrangement to set us up for victory. While it may look so bad, the truth is that the Lord allowed it to strengthen us to prepare us for the glorious future He has for us. So, we don’t answer our enemies insults when they call us names, shame us and harass us. But for the sake of the glorious future Lord Jesus has for us, we have to learn to be patient. Our patience is the befitting answer to the venom the enemy is spewing. We should not defend ourselves, rather, leave it for the Holy Spirit. He is our defence. Future is a mystery! How Holy Spirit will work out all things together for our good is a mystery. Be patient for the future. Your glorious future will answer your critics. Afflictions come to us to strengthen our faith and to push us into our God ordained destiny. If we think we lost the favour and now have become too old for it, then know this that the Holy Spirit will add years to your age. He will restore and renew our youth and vigour. Holy Spirit is fighting this battle for us. All we have to do besides acts of righteousness (prayer, giving, fasting). is to be patient.
The enemy wants to destroy our glorious future. That is why it attacks us and sometime with deep vengeance. There are fights, quarrels, resentment, animosity, offences, ill-will, anger, bitterness and the likes. All these negative emotions imprison our human spirit. Let us defeat the vicious plan of the enemy by shaking it off our spirit. Let go of it. It is a weapon the enemy has formed to delay our blessing. So, let’s not lose another minute! Get right with the Holy Spirit now, in Jesus holy name. And let us get rid of offences to free our spirit. Holy Spirit loves us. He is our helper. Let’s approach him to search our hearts and free us from every offence. The grace is right there to conquer the vilest affliction, shame and pain.
Remember Holy Spirit is our defence. We don’t need to defend ourselves before our enemies when they shame us or insult us.. Rather we have to be patient. Patience is also the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Let us ask the Lord to help us to be patient. And, fear not. Say aloud- Holy Spirit, replace the fear within me with strong faith and help me to be patient.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Psalm 23:5
